You can delete your Runner's Relief Routes account and the data attached to it at any time. Deleting an account is permanent — your runs, posts and profile cannot be restored afterwards.
Delete From Inside The App
This is the fastest route and takes effect immediately:
- Open the Runner's Relief Routes app and sign in.
- Go to Profile, then open Settings.
- Tap Delete Account.
- Confirm when you are asked. Your account is erased and you are signed out on every device.
Request Deletion From This Page
If you can no longer sign in — for example you lost access to your phone number — use the request form on this page. Enter the email address or phone number registered on the account and we will verify ownership before erasing it. Requests are completed within 30 days, and usually much sooner.
What Gets Deleted
When your account is deleted we permanently remove:
- your profile — name, username, phone number, email address and profile photo;
- your recorded runs, routes, splits, distance and pace history;
- your community profile, posts, comments and likes;
- your trusted contacts and your emergency and SOS alert history;
- the restroom ratings and status reports you submitted;
- your app settings and notifications;
- every sign-in session and access token issued to your devices.
What We Keep, And Why
A small amount of data outlives the account:
- Support messages. Messages you sent us through Contact Us are kept, with your account link removed, so we have a record of the conversation.
- Restroom locations. The shared restroom map is not tied to individual accounts, so a location added to it stays available to other runners.
- Records we are required to keep. Security and abuse logs are retained for up to 90 days, and anything law obliges us to hold for longer is kept only for that period.
Backups are rotated on a rolling schedule, so a copy of deleted data may persist in an encrypted backup for up to 30 days before it is overwritten.
Before You Delete
Export or screenshot anything you want to keep — run history and statistics cannot be recovered once the account is gone. Deleting your account does not cancel a subscription bought through Google Play; manage that from the Play Store.
